Park Pops Up In Werribee City Centre

If you are looking for something to do over summer, pop into the brand new Pop Up Park at Station Place.

Station Place has been transformed into a buzzing summer destination, with live music, an outdoor cinema, food trucks and more.

Wyndham City’s Tourism and Major Events Portfolio Holder, Cr John Gibbons said the Pop Up Park offers a relaxed, welcoming space for residents to enjoy over summer.

“What we’ll see in this space is 100 square metres of grass, plants, deckchairs and umbrellas for people to sit back and enjoy,” Cr Gibbons said. “An Australian headline performer will take to the stage every Friday night in a free live music concert. We’ll have artists from genres of pop, indie and rock over the course of the programme.”  “Grab some popcorn and sit back on a beanbag on Saturday nights, as the park becomes an outdoor cinema with a free double billing of movies, including movies for the kids and some cult classics.”
“Food trucks will descend on Station Place on Sunday afternoons, with delicious food from across the globe available in Werribee’s City Centre.”
“During the week we’ll have plenty of recreational events, workshops and activities for everybody to enjoy.”

The Pop Up Park will be in operation from 19 January to 25 February 2018.

Wyndham City is also supporting the Point Cook Action Group in their trial Pop Up Park at Point Cook Town Centre by loaning the group with the use of Council’s furniture and equipment.
