Gift Givers Gallery commenced business in November 2009 at 54 Watton Street. A staff of one soon grew to 3 in months and over the first year we realised we might be on a winner.
Even with a difficult position to work with in the main street, against the odds we battled on. Advertising regularly, running competitions and starting the first of our “Fundraising Shopping Events” that went on to become a popular concept with many groups.
With our move to 34 Watton Street, we have doubled our floor space and we now have 2 full time staff and 4 part timers. Our strengths lie in customer service, friendly helpful staff and the ability to read trends, stock the best merchandise at the best prices we take our range very seriously.
Being finalists in both 2011 and 2012, we were thrilled to win our first Wyndham Business Award, Small Retail Award in 2013. To win back to back awards this year 2014 is an absolute buzz. The recognition of an independant judging panel said:
“Don’t think for one minute that “innovation” is a term reserved for manufacturing companies. This small retail business has embraced online sales, social media and the utilisation of video to drive sales. There is a plethora of small retailers that could learn a lot from Gift Givers Gallery.”
